Position Purpose
Performs scheduling activities including interfacing with production and customer service to achieve delivery performance of 95% to internal and OEM customers. Works with shipping and receiving personnel to ensure accurate on time shipments and documentation for 95% vendor delivery performance, including shipping transactions and production receipts.
Essential Functions
Ensures MRP data integrity, vendor files and work order releases for production and outside processing (where applicable). Acts as the facility’s backup contact for system problems.
Reviews requisitions and prepares purchase orders. Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance and inventories.
Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with quality department, users or vendors and others to determine source of problems and takes corrective action. May serve as an Internal Quality Auditor.
Backup responsibility for QOS metrics on: Supplier Delivery, Forecast Accuracy, Working Capital (inventory days on hand).
Participant on various continuous improvement teams ranging from Team Leader to participant.
