About the Role
The Material Planner works within the Supply Chain Team and Production Control.
The role supports procurement and production flow to ensure manufacturing readiness.
The position forecasts supplier delivery dates and quantity requirements based on the production schedule.
The role manages supply base risk and inventory risk to ensure the production line has components to build.
Responsibilities
- Own demand planning for on-time delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
- Coordinate with purchasing and supply chain teams on forecasts and timely supplier orders.
- Report possible material shortages to leadership.
- Solve problems proactively and conduct root cause analysis with vendors.
- Develop and maintain material planning best practices in systems such as MRP.
