Material Handling Associate, Front Aisle - 2nd Shift

Must be able to read, write and perform basic math skills as job duties require

Mental/Physical/Visual Demands: Prefer ability to learn to work with computer systems. Must have good manual dexterity. Must be accurate in keeping colors separate, and recording weights. Must be able to learn to safely operate forklift equipment. Prefer ability to safely operate multi-directional forklift. Must have good communication skills and be able to interact with people. Must be able to lift 86 pounds maximum individually. Must be able to move 87-100 pounds with assistance. Must be mechanically inclined.

Working Conditions: Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to constant loud noise, temperature extremes, and dust. Position requires continual walking, standing, periodic pulling, heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and pushing.

Equipment/Tools Used: Blue bins; digital scale; forklift; split tail; scrap racks; safety glasses; hearing protection; gloves; calculator.

Safety: Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals. Required to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions. Comply with all legislative requirements as outlined by Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations. Additionally, the proper discharge of safety responsibilities is an integral part of each Associate’s performance appraisal.
