Support production/engineering with the movement of parts and equipment to support the master schedule
Physically move and expedite materials in support of production goals to meet work order completion dates
Verify all materials are packaged, loaded, and unloaded safely and securely
Interface with receiving, quality control, purchasing, Starshield production, and other related stakeholders to resolve problems related to the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials
Operate material handling equipment including but not limited to: Vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts
POSITION DETAILS: This is a TEMPORARY position with SpaceX, for the length of time as stated, and is subject to change with minimal notice as business needs dictate.
LENGTH OF POSITION: 3 Months
LOCATION: Hawthorne, CA
SHIFT: 1st – 5:00am – 3:30pm
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience working within a manufacturing/production environment
Experience working in a warehouse environment
Experience with barcode scanning to document material movement
Experience working with aircraft or automotive parts and assemblies
ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be available for at least one of the following shifts:
1st Shift: Monday to Friday: 5AM – 3:30PM
Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs., unassisted
Must have valid California driver’s license
Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
Must be willing to work in an open-air environment, lacking temperature control

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Pay Range: Material Handler/Level 1: $22.00 - $24.00/hour Material Handler/Level 2: $24.00 - $26.00/hour Material Handler/Level 3: $25.50 - $28.50/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
