The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of receiving, storage, and distribution activities in a fast-paced 24/7 environment. This role ensures accuracy, product integrity, and timely delivery while working closely with team members across distribution, production, transportation, and sales.
WHAT YOU’LL DO As a Material Handler, you will:
Load and unload trailers as assigned by the Distribution Supervisor or Warehouse Manager
Sort and scan freight using the RF system
Verify product ID/code numbers and contents for accuracy
Pick orders and ensure proper product rotation
Perform daily pre-shift inspections of lifting equipment and report hazards promptly
Safely operate forklifts, pallet trucks, and other warehouse equipment
Communicate shipment discrepancies or errors to supervisors/managers upon detection
Ensure compliance with GMPs, SOPs, safety, and sanitation standards
Report maintenance needs and hazardous conditions
Support special projects or other duties as assigned

High School Diploma (required)
Previous experience with forklifts, pallet trucks, and counterbalance equipment (required)
Prior warehouse or food industry experience (asset)
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Strong attention to detail, safety, and accuracy
Continental night shifts (8:00 pm – 8:00 am)
Work performed in a cold, fast-paced warehouse/production environment
Requires heavy lifting, standing, and operating powered equipment
