Why do we need you ?

Reporting directly to the Shift Supervisor, the Material Handler is responsible for the transportation of finished products, raw materials, and recordable materials throughout the facility. Responsible for crating and palletizing products from production lines. May be required to assist in other areas such as Inspector Packing.

Shift: Days (7:45am - 8pm)

Removes finished product from extrusion lines in a timely manner, completes all applicable paperwork accurately and records them on daily reports.

Stages, assembles, and transports into line all empty finished product racks, in a timely manner.

Communicates well with shift supervisor and leaders to remain aware of product/color changes to assure that appropriate materials are available at the extrusion lines.

Stocks corrugated cardboard cartons and assures availability to extrusion lines in a timely fashion. Is responsible for the stacking, banding, and storage of all scrap-corrugated cardboard.

Interfaces with shift supervisor and leaders at end of shift to assure that all paperwork is filled out completely and accurately.

Inspects finished product racks to assure that all cartons are labeled, stacked, and glued according to documented procedures.

Responsible for daily forklift safety inspections and completion of checklist sheet.

Is this job for you ?

High School diploma or general education (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents.

Must possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Must have the ability to operate electronic calculator. Must possess the ability to apply common sense to carry out written and/or oral instructions.

Must have certified forklift license (company will train). Good computer skills. Must have a good attendance record.

Must operate forklift truck in manufacturing area in a safe manner.

Must be physically capable of lifting / moving up to 75 lbs.

Must be willing to work every other weekend and overtime as needed.
