Material Handler 2nd shift

The Material Handler is accountable for safety, 5S, shipping, receiving freight, locating freight, put-aways, picking orders, shipping & receiving, cycle counting, assembly, process improvement and team productivity.

Ensures all safety procedures are followed and actively works to improve our safety program.

Ensures all quality procedures are followed and actively works to improve our quality program.

Manage workflow and delivery of merchandise throughout the plant.

Coordinate and execute the delivery of materials to machines from its inventory location.

Reweigh and return any residual unused material.

Make sure it is labeled with name of material and qty.

Coordinate and execute the movement of work order in process to each machine, as needed.

Stage finished goods neatly in designated finished goods location

Transacting materials consumed by production in ERP

Maintain a clean & organized working environment (5s)

Pick orders timely & correctly

Cycle count materials

Learn & navigate our inventory control system

Ability to check-in, put away parts

Prepare handling of goods

Material receipts

Ability to pick & pack orders sturdy & presentable

Support shipping/receiving

Other duties as assigned

HS Diploma or equivalent

Tow motor experience/pallet jack

Flexible with hours

Computer processing experience (Microsoft office/Excel)

Warehouse experience using barcode scanners.

Must be able to work in the US.

Detail oriented

Communicates effectively.

Works well within a Team environment.

Physical demands

Ability to frequently lift-up to 55 pounds.

This position is very active and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing; use of hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.

This position requires frequent communications with other employees and freight carriers.

Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
