Verify delivered materials against purchase orders, delivery notes, and project requirements.
Inspect materials for quantity, quality, damage, and compliance with specifications.
Record and report any shortages, defects, damages, or discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records of all incoming deliveries.
Establish and maintain an accurate inventory control system.

Track material movements from receipt through to final installation.
Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts.
Monitor stock levels and notify the Construction Manager and Procurement Team of shortages or replenishment requirements.
Ensure full traceability of project materials where required.
Ensure materials are stored safely and securely within the yard.
Maintain organised storage locations to allow rapid identification and retrieval of materials.
Protect materials from damage, deterioration, theft, or environmental exposure.
Ensure compliance with site safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
Plan and coordinate the distribution of materials from the main yard to tower locations and work fronts.
Liaise with Site Supervisors, Engineers, and Construction Management to understand upcoming material requirements.
Schedule delivery vehicles and lifting resources to support programme requirements.
Ensure materials arrive at work locations safely, on time, and in the correct quantities.
Maintain records of all material issues and transfers.
Maintain accurate material registers and inventory records.
Manage delivery notes, goods received records, material issue notes, and transfer documentation.
Produce regular reports on stock levels, material usage, outstanding deliveries, and logistics performance.
Support project audits and quality inspections by providing material traceability records.
Ensure all yard activities are carried out in accordance with company and project safety procedures.
Support safe loading, unloading, lifting, and transportation of materials.
Maintain good housekeeping standards within the yard.
Report safety concerns, near misses, and incidents promptly.
Comply with environmental and waste management requirements.

Previous experience in materials control, stores management, logistics, or warehouse operations within construction, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
Strong organisational and planning skills.
Experience managing inventory records and material tracking systems.
Good understanding of delivery documentation and stock control procedures.
Competent in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced construction environment.
Experience working on overhead line, transmission, civil engineering, or major infrastructure projects.
Forklift or telehandler operator certification.
Knowledge of ERP or materials management systems.
Understanding of quality and material traceability requirements.
Highly organised and detail-oriented.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Proactive problem solver.
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team.
Strong commitment to safety and quality.
