About the Role
Opulent Events seeks a Master Carpenter to lead construction, installation, and finishing of custom event structures for high-end events in Dubai. You will supervise carpentry teams, interpret technical drawings, and ensure quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities
- Lead the construction, installation, and finishing of custom event structures, staging elements, and décor pieces for high end corporate and private events
- Interpret technical drawings and creative designs, measure and cut materials, assemble scenic elements, and ensure all carpentry work meets safety, quality, and aesthetic standards
- Supervise carpentry teams, coordinate with production, design, and A/V departments, and manage workshop resources, timelines, and materials
- Perform on site builds, installations, and breakdowns at event venues, troubleshooting issues in real time
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe working environment
Requirements
- Strong foundation in Carpentry, with experience leading complex builds and custom event, scenic, or set construction
- Proficiency with Hand Tools and Power Tools, including safe operation, maintenance, and selection for appropriate tasks
- Skilled in Framing and structural assembly for stages, platforms, and temporary installations that meet safety standards
- Advanced Finish Carpentry abilities for high end surfaces, detailing, joinery, and luxury event ready finishes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, sketches, and CAD based plans, and translate designs into practical builds
- Experience supervising carpentry teams, organizing workflows, and coordinating with production, logistics, and design stakeholders
- Knowledge of materials (wood, composites, metals, fasteners, finishes) and construction methods suitable for temporary event structures
- Commitment to workplace safety, with familiarity in safe rigging practices, load considerations, and venue compliance requirements
- Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight timelines and changing event conditions
- Prior experience in events, exhibition stands, theatre sets, or scenic construction is highly desirable

- Opulent Events is a full production luxury event company based in Dubai, delivering high end corporate events, brand activations, weddings, and private celebrations across the UAE.
- All key services, including design, planning, A/V, staging, lighting, entertainment, and logistics, are managed in house.
Role Description
- The Master Carpenter is a full time, on site role based in Dubai, responsible for leading the construction, installation, and finishing of custom event structures, staging elements, and décor pieces.
