• Lead the technical assurance processes for earthworks asset handover, ensuring fully compliant transitions to operational railway and engineering functions.
• Provide specialist subject matter expertise on mass haul logistics, earthworks strategy, and environmental compliance to Delivery Teams, Commercial Teams, and Senior Leadership.
• Cultivate highly collaborative working relationships with Main Works Civils Contractors, Project Controls, the Department for Transport, Environment Agency, CL:AIRE, and external statutory bodies.
• Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making, commercial awareness, and continuous improvement.

As a Mass Haul Analytics Manager at HS2 you will provide an overview on reporting of Earthworks volumetric reporting and Excavated Material tracking across HS2.
The role is accountable for establishing, imbedding, and maintaining a robust programme wide earthworks and mass haul assurance framework to support accurate progress forecasting and reporting.
You will lead the assurance and auditing of the contractor’s material tracking documentation (MTD).
Ensuring it is an accurate record of material movements, placement, and treatment.
They will ensure integration of contractor reports earthworks volumes, MTD data and internal reporting systems to guarantee data integrity.
About The Role

Skills

Knowledge
- Understanding of Groundworks Engineering.
- Knowledge of construction and / or construction logistics.
- Resilience planning & High Impact Event Planning
- Knowledge and use of mass haul software
- Degree qualified or demonstrable experience in civil engineering or similar construction or engineering discipline.
- The Qualities of UK Excavated Materials (e.g. Cohesive strength; shear strength; petrographic & other analyses; grading; chemical make-up and responses
- Knowledge of earthmoving plant and Equipment. Such Plant and Equipment’s respective technical capabilities.
- Understanding of processes involved in safe & efficient delivery of large, complex mass haul projects.
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes and procedures
Types of Experience:
- Experience of developing Excavated Materials Management Plans.
- Experience in Mass Haul design and development.
- Experience and understanding of working with Oracle P6.
