About the Role
Big Fix Building Maintenance is seeking an experienced Mason to perform tiling, marble, and granite installation. The role involves measuring, cutting, polishing, and installing tile and stone surfaces, as well as preparing surfaces and finishing joints.

Responsibilities
- Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled following blueprints
- Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite or pre cast terrazzo units
- Mix and apply plaster, concrete, mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives
- Level concrete and allow to dry
- Apply mortar to tile back, position tile, and press or tap to affix
- Prepare surfaces for tiling by attaching lath or waterproof paper
- Mix and apply mortar or cement to edges and ends of drain tiles
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tile
- Apply sealer to make grout stain and water resistant
- Remove old tile, grout and adhesive using chisels and scrapers
- Cut and shape tile to fit around obstacles and odd spaces
- Lay and set mosaic tiles for decorative wall, mural, and floor designs
