About Us
Shaolin Kung Fu Academy is a professional martial arts academy focused on helping children and adults build confidence, discipline, fitness, respect, and self-defence skills.
We are looking for a passionate, reliable, and energetic **Martial Arts Coach** to join our team.
Experience in **Shaolin Kung Fu** is preferred, but we will also consider strong candidates from other martial arts backgrounds who have excellent coaching ability and the right attitude.
The Role
This role is ideal for a coach who can deliver structured, high-quality martial arts classes to both children and adults.
You must be confident leading groups, managing class discipline, motivating students, and representing the academy professionally.
You will be expected to teach with energy, maintain high standards, and help students progress in both skill and character.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver martial arts classes for children and adults
- Teach technique, discipline, confidence, respect, and self-control
- Plan and structure classes for different ages and ability levels
- Maintain a safe, positive, and professional training environment
- Support student progression, assessments, and grading preparation
- Motivate students and help improve retention
- Communicate professionally with parents, students, and team members
- Follow academy systems, lesson plans, and coaching standards
- Assist with events, workshops, after school programs, camps, and academy activities when required
What We Are Looking For
- Martial arts coaching experience
- Shaolin Kung Fu experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and clear spoken English
- Ability to coach both children and adults
- Positive, energetic, and professional attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
- Strong class control and leadership ability
- Passion for developing students, not just teaching techniques
- First aid certification is an advantage
