Responsibilities
- Draft and distribute press releases, manage media inquiries, coordinate interviews, and maintain strong relationships with local and regional media outlets.
- Develop strategic communication plans, prepare corporate messaging, oversee content for digital and traditional channels, and ensure brand consistency across all external communications.
- Support event communication, monitor coverage and public sentiment, collaborate with internal departments on marketing campaigns, and prepare regular reports on communication outcomes and key performance indicators.
Requirements
- Ability to develop and manage strategic communications, including planning, messaging, and campaign alignment with organizational objectives
- Strong public relations and media relations capabilities
- Experience in drafting and distributing press releases and other external communication materials
- Excellent communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication in English; Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Proficiency with marketing and communication tools (e.g., social media platforms, CMS, email marketing tools, media monitoring solutions)
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams

Role Description
- The Marketing & PR Communications Officer is a full time, on site role based in Doha, Qatar.
- This role is responsible for planning and executing marketing and public relations initiatives that support AKTI’s brand and business objectives.
Day to day tasks
- Drafting and distributing press releases.
- Managing media inquiries and coordinating interviews.
- Maintaining strong relationships with local and regional media outlets.
- Developing strategic communication plans.
- Preparing corporate messaging.
- Overseeing content for digital and traditional channels.
- Ensuring brand consistency across all external communications.
- Supporting event communication.
- Monitoring coverage and public sentiment.
- Collaborating with internal departments on marketing campaigns.
- Preparing regular reports on communication outcomes and key performance indicators.
Qualifications
- Ability to develop and manage strategic communications.
- Strong public relations and media relations capabilities.
