Job Purpose
Assist the marketing team as the main point of contact for internal and external events in which RIT participates.
Highlight RIT's participation in external events and liaise with internal departments to deliver internal events.
Contribute creative ideas, proactive support, and awareness of current event trends.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Book and coordinate external events, including exhibitions, conferences, and RIT Dubai events requiring marketing support.
- Assist with event setup and coordinate marketing requirements with faculty, staff, vendors, and venue management.
- Follow market trends and help strategize for the upcoming academic year through event planning and coordination.
- Support inventory management, attend meetings for the marketing department, and contribute social media ideas when required.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, mass communications, or hospitality from a reputable university.
- At least two years of experience in event coordination.
- Experience in event management and setup.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, organizational, planning, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends because of the nature of events.
