Responsibilities
- Maintaining tracker of the shipments along with job numbers for all shipments
- Maintaining Manually Prepared Endorsement Tracker
- Updating Excel sheet for daily approvals from insurers
- Maintaining dispatch trackers
- Quoting clients on single shipments via mails and calls
- Following up with the insurers for draft approval
- Following up with the client on draft or quotation approval
- Follow up with the insurers for approval for sanctions country shipments or high value shipments
- Issuance of policies for open covers and facultative shipments
- Requesting Data Processing Team to Invoice
- Dispatching the policy to the client and collecting the payment
Requirements
- 2 5 years of experience in insurance, ideally as a broker
- Knowledge of the insurance and/or insurance broking industries
- Thorough comprehension of the framework for the marine insurance sector
- Knowledge of the marine insurance sector and experience with customer service
- Stay up to date on local, state and federal law changes in the insurance field
- Good understanding of insurance quotation negotiation techniques
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
- Excellent attention to detail
- Computer Skills (including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PPT and Word)
