Responsibilities
- Perform day to day maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems on marine vessels and related equipment
- Conduct planned and corrective maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics
- Prepare maintenance records and technical reports
- Support dry dockings and refits as required
- Collaborate with vessel crews, technical managers, and contractors to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient vessel operations
- Contribute to continuous improvement in maintenance practices, safety procedures, and environmental compliance
Requirements
- Experience in the marine industry or maritime sector, ideally within commercial or offshore operations
- Background in marine engineering, including practical knowledge of vessel systems and engineering best practices
- Experience in maintenance and repair of marine machinery and equipment, including fault finding and corrective action
- Recognized marine engineering qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent) or relevant time served apprenticeship
- Strong understanding of marine safety, regulatory requirements, and environmental standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications
- Proven ability to work on site in a hands on role, sometimes in challenging marine conditions and to tight operational schedules
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and vessel crews
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to travel to vessels, shipyards, or other company sites as required

Role Description
- This is a full time, on site Marine Engineer role based in Liverpool.
- The Marine Engineer will be responsible for the day to day maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems on marine vessels and related equipment.
- Duties include conducting planned and corrective maintenance, performing inspections and diagnostics, preparing maintenance records and technical reports, and supporting dry dockings and refits as required.
- The role involves collaborating with vessel crews, technical managers, and contractors to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient vessel operations in line with regulatory and company standards.
- The Marine Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement in maintenance practices, safety procedures, and environmental compliance.
Qualifications
