Role Description
The Marine Engineer operates, maintains, inspects, and troubleshoots marine engines, machinery, and onboard technical systems.
The role supports safe, reliable, efficient, and environmentally responsible vessel operations.
Operations and Maintenance
- Operate and maintain marine engines, machinery, propulsion systems, and auxiliary systems.
- Conduct inspections, testing, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repairs.
- Monitor engine performance, fuel consumption, and system conditions.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and other technical issues.
- Maintain cooling, lubrication, and fuel systems.
- Coordinate with vessel crews, contractors, suppliers, and technical teams.
Documentation and Compliance
- Maintain maintenance records, equipment logs, and technical documentation.
- Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and commissioning.
- Monitor spare parts, tools, equipment, and maintenance requirements.
- Support inspections, audits, surveys, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare technical reports and maintenance updates.
- Promote compliance with safety and operational standards.
