Marine Advisor - UAE National only-Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct marine vessel inspections from marine and HSE perspectives
• Support daily marine office activities such as vessel monitoring, scope preparation, technical reviews, and contractor audits
• Witness and monitor offshore lifts and installation activities
• Participate in or lead incident investigations
• Provide technical marine advice to contractor marine personnel
• Verify marine operational documents and compliance records
• Prepare required technical and operational reports
• Participate in emergency response management and reporting
• Ensure marine HSE rules and procedures are properly implemented

Qualifications

• Master Mariner Class 1 Certificate of Competency (STCW compliant) from an accepted issuing country, or
• BSc in Maritime Discipline or equivalent
• Strong spoken and written English
• Good computer and report writing skills Experience
• + Minimum 10 years of offshore oil and gas experience
• + Experience serving as Master on vessels such as PSV, AHTS, heavy lift, dive support, construction, pipe lay, cable lay, DP, or conventional vessels
• + Familiarity with offshore marine standards, field logistics, and offshore installation support activitiesCandidate Profile

Successful Candidates Will Typically Demonstrate

• Strong offshore oil and gas marine experience
• Sound knowledge of marine safety, HSE, and operational procedures
• Experience working with offshore vessels, barges, or marine construction units
• Good technical reporting and communication skills in English
• Ability to work in offshore operational environments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong compliance mindset and familiarity with international marine standards and best practices
