Position Summary
The Manufacturing Systems Engineer is a hands-on engineer responsible for strengthening manufacturing processes across sheet metal fabrication and electro-mechanical assembly.
This role supports quality systems, resolves non-conforming material issues, improves process documentation, and drives continuous improvement initiatives in a high-mix, make-to-order environment.
The ideal candidate is a practical problem solver who is comfortable working on the production floor and collaborating directly with operators, supervisors, and leadership.
Fabrication & Assembly Process Support
- Support sheet metal fabrication processes (punch, brake, weld) to improve dimensional control and reduce rework
- Assist in troubleshooting electro-mechanical assembly and test issues
- Develop and maintain clear, usable work instructions and process documentation
- Support fixture, tooling, and workflow improvements
- Participate in new product introductions and engineering changes
Quality Systems & Non-Conforming Material
- Lead root cause analysis for fabrication, assembly, and supplier quality issues
