Role Overview
GE Vernova is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to improve the efficiency and quality of transformer manufacturing processes.
The role focuses on process standardization, continuous improvement, quality management, manufacturing procedures, and innovative process solutions.
The position involves leadership, mentoring, cross-functional collaboration, and support for production issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply manufacturing-process expertise to transformer assembly, drawings, procedures, and work instructions.
- Implement quality assurance and control measures and lead quality-improvement initiatives.
- Develop manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Standardize assembly processes and identify solutions to improve productivity and quality.
- Transfer new designs and processes into production using Design for Manufacturing principles.
- Conduct root cause analysis, resolve process issues, and provide first-line support for production problems.
- Support quality-gate reviews and participate in lean and Kaizen continuous-improvement projects.
- Train and mentor people and share transformer-industry best practices.
