Advanced Industrial Technology & Platforms (ATP) Organization - Who Are We?
What We Do?
Why We Do it?
“The Advanced Industrial Technology and Platforms (ATP) — is a new, centralized organization designed to position Ford to lead industrial innovation.
Ford is undergoing a historic industrial shift — from building great vehicles to building great systems that scale across them.
The Advanced Industrial Technology & Platforms (AITP) organization was created to operationalize that shift.
Our job is not to deploy isolated tools — it is to build a system that learns from factory truth, transforms it into scalable platforms, and turns those platforms into enterprise business value.
This organization will accelerate our digital evolution and manufacturing excellence – advancing the modernization of our Ford Manufacturing operations with cutting-edge technology.
Vision: Build Once, Scale Everywhere.
Mission: We build and scale industrial platforms, technologies, and capabilities that unlock Ford Firsts to drive sustained competitive advantage in manufacturing.
Mantra: Scale what matters.
Win what’s next.
As part of Ford Global Manufacturing, ATP is designed to integrate directly into our manufacturing sites, partner across Skill Teams and drive innovation from initial idea to full production implementation.
The structure of the new ATP organization includes a) four vertical business units — focused on specific technology stacks and b) four horizontals — shared services designed to ensure scale, deployment and operational consistency.
Specifically, the Position Role as detailed below, is within the Horizontal Shared Service Team known as the:
Global Operations | Product Programs | Process Development Operations Team
Develop, implement and scale New Manufacturing Technology for Product Programs that are aligned to the Product Design (PD) and Global Manufacturing Engineering (GME) strategies that will enable the delivery to external customers of an industry leading Electric Vehicle (PHEV/FHEV/BEV) Product Portfolio.
As a Manufacturing Process Development Operations Engineer within the ATP organization, your role will be to lead the development of new manufacturing technologies, processes, tooling, equipment and engineering standards that will be focused on the Powertrain Propulsion Manufacturing Systems that span across the Electric Vehicle (EV) Core Manufacturing Vertical Integration Commodity Areas including:
These two (2) EV Core Manufacturing Systems Commodities, and their associated newly developed “Ford Firsts” manufacturing technologies, will be implemented and scaled extensively throughout the Ford Global EV manufacturing facilities
Global automotive manufacturer of cars, trucks, and mobility solutions.
