The OpportunityWe're looking for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to take the next step in their career and lead our Forestville bakery site.As a daily fresh operation, reliability, plan delivery and strong execution are critical to meeting our customer commitments. This is a people and results-focused leadership role, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, engagement, culture, operational performance, sustainable cost management and waste reduction.You'll lead through others, building capability, accountability and empowerment across the Operations team to deliver against our safety, quality, service and cost commitments while contributing to the broader Goodman Fielder strategy.What you will doLead the Operations team to deliver safe, high-quality products, baking plans and customer requirements.Drive improvements in waste, yield, plant performance, productivity and cost, using data and insights to identify and address variances.Partner with Maintenance and Technical teams to undertake root cause analysis and improve plant reliability and performance.Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site, working collaboratively with Process Control and other cross-functional teams.Optimise labour utilisation and hours to budget, identifying opportunities to improve the labour model and operational efficiency.Ensure compliance with Goodman Fielder standards, SWPs, GMP, hygiene, food safety and quality requirements across all shifts.Champion our ‘Never Walk By' safety culture and proactively identify and address safety risks and opportunities.Build a high-performing team through coaching, training, empowerment, accountability and effective talent management.Develop capability across the team through development plans, multi-skilling and succession planning.Build and maintain positive relationships with employees, delegates, unions and key internal stakeholders.Lead with behaviours aligned to our Goodman Fielder values and create a positive, engaged and collaborative team culture.What you will bringDemonstrated manufacturing leadership experience, ideally within FMCG, food or a high-volume production environment.Strong understanding of end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain drivers.Proven ability to improve processes, productivity, waste, cost and operational performance through data and insights.Strong people leadership skills, with a track record of developing capability, empowering teams and driving accountability.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across Operations, Maintenance, Technical and broader business teams.A growth mindset and a proactive approach to continuous improvement and transformation.The ability to think strategically while staying focused on execution and delivering results.Experience working with unionised environments and employee representatives will be highly regarded.Why this opportunity?This is a great opportunity to step into broader leadership responsibility, make a tangible impact on site performance and continue developing your career within Goodman Fielder.If you're ready to take on your next leadership challenge and make a difference at Forestville, we'd love to hear from you.To apply, please submit your application via the internal link.For a confidential discussion, please contact Mia Arts, Recruitment Consultant, or Benny Peck, P&C Business Partner.
