Role overview
Lead manufacturing engineering activities across NPI, process development, production readiness, industrialization, automation, tooling, equipment, quality, cost, and continuous improvement.
Serve as a bridge between product development, engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, procurement, suppliers, logistics, and manufacturing.
Ensure products transition from engineering designs into stable, scalable, safe, cost-effective, and high-quality production processes.
Manufacturing engineering leadership
- Lead the Manufacturing Engineering team and establish strategy, standards, procedures, scalable processes, and technical direction.
- Develop manufacturing strategies covering production processes, footprint, capacity, equipment, automation, tooling, labor, layout, quality systems, cost, and scalability.
- Balance quality, cost, capacity, flexibility, and speed in manufacturing decisions.
NPI and design for manufacturing
- Lead manufacturing engineering through design, prototype, EVT, DVT, PVT, production ramp, and mass production.
- Ensure manufacturing requirements are incorporated early into product development.
