Manufacturing Engineer I

QUALIFICATIONS/TRAVEL

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred; equivalent hands-on tooling, machining, mold building, or manufacturing experience may be considered. Working knowledge of SolidWorks or comparable CAD software, with the ability to create and interpret 2D drawings, 3D models, assemblies, and technical documentation. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, mold prints, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation. Understanding of mechanical design fundamentals, materials, tolerances, fits, GD&T, and common manufacturing processes. Experience with, or willingness to learn, precision measurement and metrology tools such as CMM equipment, laser scanning systems, micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other inspection equipment. Familiarity with, or strong interest in learning, injection molding principles, mold construction, tooling best practices, and mold maintenance requirements. Strong mechanical aptitude with willingness to perform hands-on work, including mold disassembly, reassembly, troubleshooting, fit checks, and minor repair support. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to support root cause analysis and develop practical corrective actions. Self-motivated learner who can work independently, ask effective questions, and build capability in a high-demand manufacturing environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with Tool Room, Production, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Operations, and outside vendors. Ability to manage multiple priorities, shift focus as business needs change, and follow through on projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties, the employee will be working in an office environment as well as on the manufacturing plant floor. The employee is required to sit and/or stand for computer or floor responsibilities, reach with hands and arms and handle objects and other tools, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull, maintain balance, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distances, and climb stairs. Employees may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Food Safety Responsibilities: Monitors and verifies activities to ensure that finished goods and raw materials are coming in and out of the facility meet consumer safety and quality standards. Complies with all company food safety and quality assurance procedures Reports any product or process failures that could impact food safety of manufactured products to the location’s Food Safety Team Leader and submits an appropriate incident report
