Job Summary
The Assistant Manager/Manager is responsible for end-to-end supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment.
The scope includes raw material stores, procurement, imports, finished goods stores, dispatch, exports and logistics.
The role supports inventory accuracy, uninterrupted material availability, timely dispatch, compliance and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage raw material receipt, inspection, storage, issuance, stock records, physical verification, FIFO or FEFO and replenishment.
- Source materials and services, compare quotations, negotiate with suppliers, issue purchase orders and monitor vendor performance.
- Coordinate imports, overseas suppliers, trade documents, freight forwarders, customs brokers and shipment clearance.
- Manage finished goods storage, inventory reconciliation, stock rotation, traceability and physical audits.
- Plan domestic and export dispatches and maintain accurate shipping, packing, labeling and statutory documentation.
- Coordinate transportation, warehouses, transporters and inbound or outbound material movement.
- Maintain compliance records for stores, procurement, imports, exports, licenses and quality systems.
- Identify cost reductions, improve processes, prepare reports and support budgeting and forecasting.
