Role overview
Manage software engineering for analytical design systems supporting aerospace engineering domains.
Lead technical development, project delivery, and analytical methodology work within the Research & Technology team.
The role reports to the Associate Director of Software Engineering and is onsite at the Longueuil facility.
Core responsibilities
- Lead development of analytical design systems covering aerodynamics, structures, dynamics, and performance.
- Develop productivity solutions using optimization technologies and multiphysics analysis.
- Provide technical leadership for software engineering, system architecture, and analytical methodologies.
- Drive projects from inception through completion.
Day-to-day work
- Improve engineering processes, productivity, and deliverable quality.
- Modernize analytical software tools using DevOps, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
- Conduct multidisciplinary design optimization projects.
- Support and train users of analytical tools and high-performance computing environments.
- Participate in planning, scoping, requirements analysis, design, and peer reviews.
