Position Overview
We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to support the continued growth of our defence programs, software products, and research and development initiatives.
This role is responsible for leading software engineering teams and overseeing project delivery in support of military and defence customers. You will balance project leadership and people management while ensuring engineering teams are aligned with business priorities, customer requirements, and delivery objectives.
Candidates with military or defence experience would be prioritized.
Responsibilities
- Lead software engineering teams responsible for the delivery of defence-focused software programs and products.
- Manage project plans, schedules, resource allocation, risks, and delivery commitments.
- Partner with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide leadership, coaching, performance management, and career development for engineering staff.
- Support hiring, workforce planning, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.
- Drive process improvements and help establish scalable delivery and operating practices.
- Ensure alignment between business objectives, customer requirements, and engineering execution.
