RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pre-elimination diligence to identify risk areas (both on and off balance sheet) requiring resolution ahead of liquidation. For example, preparation of balance sheet rationalisation steps, underpinned by a solid understanding of accounting principles and an awareness of corporate law and tax implications.
- Administer a portfolio of MVLs and CVLs from cradle-to-grave, ensuring statutory compliance and case progression in line with agreed timetables and budgets.
- Oversee and review work prepared by junior colleagues including: KYC, fee quotes, engagement letters, liquidation appointment documentation, case reviews, annual progress reports, distribution documentation and final reports.
- Assume responsibility for client relations and liaise with clients, clients’ employees, agents and solicitors as necessary
- Provide ad hoc support including input into proposals, statutory compliance, tracking pipeline opportunities and billing management etc.
- Provide guidance, motivation, mentoring and assistance to the team, assisting them with their training and progression in Kroll and undertake appraisals and other actions as required
- Adhere to Kroll systems, policy requirements and relevant Health & Safety policy
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong academic qualifications and accounting experience. An ideal candidate will possess finance relation educational qualifications such as Chartered Accountant, Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Finance MBA
- At least five years’ experience preparing entities for closure and managing a portfolio of MVLs and CVLs.
- A sound understanding of relevant insolvency legislation and of statutory and regulatory requirements in respect of the liquidation processes across Scotland, England and Wales, with proven experience.
- Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and experience collaborating with key stakeholders (i.e. clients, professional advisors, tax authorities).
- A self-starting team player with a can-do attitude and a problem-solving mind.
