The Manager, Quality & Accuracy Control oversees all Quality Control and Accuracy Control activities in support of vessel construction at Vancouver Shipyards. The role provides leadership and direction to Quality Control Supervisors, Accuracy Control leadership, Quality Specialists, Coordinators, Technologists, and Technicians responsible for inspection, verification, dimensional control, non-conformance management, and production quality support across multiple trades and construction disciplines.
The Manager, Quality & Accuracy Control works closely with Production, Operations, Engineering, Program Management, and customers to ensure construction activities meet contractual requirements, technical specifications, classification requirements, and customer expectations.
The position is responsible for supporting production schedules through effective deployment of quality resources, resolution of quality issues, oversight of non-conformance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on workmanship, product quality, and operational performance.
This role is one of operational leadership, workforce development, and production support.
It will lead the Quality & Accuracy Control team in lockstep support of vessel construction activities while fostering a culture of accountability, quality, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
The Manager, Quality & Accuracy Control directly reports to the Senior Manager, Quality & Accuracy Control.
Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 50 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver, BC.
