The Role
Manage overseas manufacturing partners for apparel, accessories, bags, headwear, home goods, plush, and other consumer products.
Oversee factory relationships from sourcing and costing through sampling, production, quality control, and shipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, qualify, evaluate, and onboard factories while maintaining a diversified supplier network.
- Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities, payment terms, lead times, and production capacity.
- Manage quotations, product sampling, specifications, production approvals, and factory communications.
- Track production calendars, purchase orders, materials, inspections, completion dates, and shipments.
- Identify delays, quality concerns, and production risks and create recovery plans.
- Maintain factory scorecards covering cost, quality, delivery, communication, capacity, and compliance.
- Ensure audits, certifications, testing, social-compliance documentation, packing lists, invoices, and shipping documents are accurate.
- Provide internal teams with accurate production updates and communicate risks or delays.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in factory sourcing, overseas production, or supplier management.
- Experience with apparel, fashion accessories, bags, headwear, home goods, plush, or consumer products is strongly preferred.
