In this role, you will have the opportunity to
Lead and develop a high-performing Mechanical Engineering LCM team, providing technical direction, coaching, resource planning, and fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
Own the sustaining engineering strategy and execution for electro-mechanical and medical device products, ensuring product reliability, manufacturability, regulatory compliance, business continuity, and lifecycle extension.
Drive design change management and product lifecycle activities, including ECO/ECR execution, component obsolescence mitigation, supplier-driven changes, cost reduction initiatives, value engineering, and quality improvements.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with Global R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Procurement, Service, and Operations to resolve production and field issues, drive CAPA activities, and deliver sustainable product solutions.
Provide technical leadership for engineering investigations and product improvements, including root cause analysis, risk assessments, design verification and performance evaluations.
The essential requirements of the job include
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
- 15+ years of progressive engineering experience with at least 3+ years of people leadership or technical leadership experience managing engineering teams.
- Proven experience leading global cross-functional teams and managing complex sustaining engineering or product lifecycle management projects.
- Strong background in Electro-Mechanical product design, sustaining engineering, and change management.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in
Medical Device product design and development.
IVD Instrumentation, Clinical Chemistry, Immunoassay, Hematology, Urinalysis systems.
