Supervisory Relationships
This position does not have supervisory responsibility; this position reports administratively and functionally to the Executive Director of the Leadership Development Program.
Education and Certifications
10 years of management experience working in talent management, leadership development, succession planning, and/or organizational development
An understanding of the leadership development landscape
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required; Advanced degree preferred (MBA or related Masters)
Experience and Skills
Passion for developing future leaders
Record of accomplishment in industry or academia
Significant experience working cross-functionally with a diverse population
Proven program and project management skills required; must be extremely comfortable and like working with details
Willingness to perform data entry and ability to compile and perform data analysis
Capability to align departmental tactics and organizational strategies
Ability to influence and collaborate with multiple constituents within and outside of Owen
Style and demeanor to work effectively with and coach students
Ability to flex between being a coach, facilitator, mentor and consultant within an individual interaction or facilitated group session in order to meet the needs of the student and the goals of the Leadership Development Program
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
Independent, self-motivated and self-directed person who is also highly collaborative in nature
Consistent and clear written and verbal communicator
Understanding and knowledge of executive coaching
Experience interviewing talent for an organization or as a manager
Proven track record of continuous improvement and innovation
Track record of being accountable to a budget
Hogan Assessment certification and familiarity with Korn/Ferry leadership competencies and VOICES 360 instrument preferred
Comfortable working with new and existing technology
Social media experience in a professional setting is preferred
