Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers, fostering an environment of collaboration, continuous learning, accountability, and inclusion.
- Manage talent processes including hiring, performance management, development planning, and career growth for team members.
- Partner with product managers, architects, and technology leaders to align engineering capacity and delivery priorities with strategic business objectives.
- Provide technical leadership across application design, development, implementation, integration, and performance optimization.
- Guide engineering teams in evaluating, selecting, and implementing scalable technology solutions and best practices.
- Drive execution of multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring delivery commitments, quality standards, and operational excellence are met.
- Review and approve technical designs, architecture decisions, documentation, and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate technical progress, risks, dependencies, and business value in a clear and effective manner.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation efforts to improve system reliability and operational resilience.
- Champion continuous improvement across engineering practices, DevOps processes, quality standards, and team effectiveness.
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, testing strategies, and technical governance activities to ensure high-quality solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience; advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams while maintaining strong technical engagement.
- Proven ability to coach and develop engineers across both technical and professional competencies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience influencing technical decisions and driving outcomes across cross-functional teams.
