Manager – HSSE (UAE National)

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Lead HSSE strategy in line with business objectives and UAE regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defence, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, NFPA, OSHA, and ISO standards.
• Establish and enhance HSSE policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Oversee HIRA and JHA processes and monitor ASR, AFR, and TRIR safety metrics.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
• Manage emergency preparedness, crisis response, evacuation planning, MSDS communication, and environmental compliance.
• Develop the HSSE team through capability building, workforce planning, training, and awareness programs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory authorities and implement regulatory changes.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Environmental Science; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Certification such as NEBOSH Diploma, OSHA, IOSH, or ISO Lead Auditor.
• At least 10 years of HSSE experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership role within UAE or GCC FMCG, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, NFPA, OSHA, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.
• Expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, and compliance management.
• Leadership, stakeholder management, analytical decision-making, and safety-culture development capabilities.
