Opportunity

Lead fraud data design and integration work supporting analytics, machine learning, modeling, reporting, and fraud detection capabilities.

Contribute to solution design, planning, and delivery of fraud data requirements in systems-integration projects.

Represent Fraud Data Sciences and AI interests across Fraud and RBC teams and support the bank's fraud data strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with detection, data science, and quantitative analytics monitoring stakeholders to define project data requirements.
  • Collaborate with Fraud Strategy, Operations, IT, and bank teams on solutioning, recommendations, and project priorities.
  • Participate in data design and planning for systems-integration projects and create and execute use-case test plans.
  • Contribute to project launch playbooks and manage data-related risks, issues, questions, and critical decisions.
  • Communicate detailed project information to senior leadership and fraud stakeholders and support mitigation and escalation.
  • Support post-launch warranty activities, end-user transition, and monitoring of production issues.
  • Understand banking data across multiple lines of business and its application to fraud detection.

Must-have Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience using data to analyze, identify, and resolve issues with SQL, DB2, or Teradata.
  • Experience in project leadership or systems integration and in capturing data requirements with end users, business analysts, and developers.
  • Strong critical-thinking, analytical, communication, negotiation, time-management, and prioritization skills.
  • Familiarity with relational databases, data feeds, data structures, APIs, and data models.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.

Nice-to-have Qualifications

  • Experience working in systems-integration projects and designing use cases, test cases, and data-flow diagrams.
  • Knowledge of HDFS, cloud infrastructure, Kafka, ElasticSearch, big-data analytics, and modeling.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, Agile Project Management, and fraud detection and prevention.

Employment type is full time.

The role is based in Toronto, Canada, with a listed work schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
