Job Purpose
As a Manager, Development at Intercontinental Exchange, you will lead a team of developers working at the forefront of global finance with state-of-the-art technology that directly influences essential markets worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of developers and oversee complex development projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership
- Drive architectural decisions and ensure adherence to development procedures
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and team performance
Knowledge and Experience
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, with 8+ years of Java development experience including 2+ years in a leadership role.
Technical Expertise: Java 21, distributed messaging (Kafka, JMS), multi-threaded development Spring Framework 6.x (Spring Boot 3.x) including reactive programming with Spring AOP. Databases (Oracle, SQL, MyBatis, JPA) and microservices architecture with API gateway patterns and service discovery. Modern testing (JUnit 5, Mockito), RESTful API design (OpenAPI/Swagger), and build tools (Maven, Gradle). Caching (Redis, Hazelcast), event-driven architecture, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Unit testing tools like Spring Boot Test, Mockito, and JUnit. Experience building cloud-native microservices using Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Argo CD
