About the role
The Data Science Manager leads a team using distributed computing and large-scale customer transaction data to support financial decision-making.
The team develops data, machine learning, credit modeling, and underwriting capabilities for digital banking.
Responsibilities
- Oversee software development for cleaning and investigating large numerical and textual data sets.
- Explore internal and external data sources and APIs to uncover trends and improve analysis.
- Design and contribute to scalable data pipelines, tools, and products using AWS.
- Build and optimize credit models and underwriting infrastructure with machine learning.
- Analyze large data sets to optimize business programs.
- Manage and develop talent for a high-performing and engaged team.
- Evaluate the impact of new technologies on digital banking and financial services.
Basic qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience developing statistical or quantitative models.
- Experience with machine learning workflows.
- At least 5 years of experience in model development.
- At least 5 years of experience with open-source programming languages for large-scale data analysis, including Python, Scala, or Java.
- At least 5 years of experience with Git and GitHub.
