Role Overview
HSBC is seeking an experienced professional for the Manager, Data and Analytics role.
The role covers data and analytics delivery, software development, risk management, and compliance responsibilities.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute moderate to complex analysis and strategy with appropriate instructions.
- Manage delivery within agreed timelines and quality standards while driving business benefits through self-initiated projects.
- Continually reassess operational risks associated with the role and changing business conditions.
- Work effectively in a team environment and coach or train new team members.
- Implement Group compliance policy and contain compliance risk with relevant compliance stakeholders.
- Observe relevant processes and procedures, liaise with Compliance on new initiatives, provide training, and foster a compliance culture.
Requirements
- 0-6 years of experience in data and analytics.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or computer science, or a Doctor of Philosophy.
- Expertise in core Python and object-oriented programming.
- Hands-on experience in software development and deployment.
- Exposure to JavaScript and Selenium.
- Good knowledge of machine learning, generative artificial intelligence, and agentic artificial intelligence.
