Job summary
The Continuous Improvement Manager supports the Calgary Distribution Centre team in identifying improvement opportunities, developing solutions, and standardizing processes across sites.
The role manages projects from needs assessment through implementation and user training.
Key accountabilities
- Analyze operational processes, identify optimization opportunities, validate feasibility, and assess potential benefits.
- Standardize processes, performance indicators, and management methods across logistics sites.
- Implement procedures, continuous improvement methods, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
- Map and document business processes and analyze SAP and other database data.
- Coordinate new practices and procedures and coach operations teams through change.
- Provide user training, post-implementation support, and coaching for operations managers.
- Develop and improve SOPs and distribution centre documentation.
- Maintain KPI reports, internal dashboards, and performance dashboards.
- Represent Operations on SAP implementations, digital transformation, and automation initiatives.
- Support operations teams on the floor during daily activities and project implementations.
