The Manager, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Faculty Development (FD), is responsible for ensuring that the strategic organizational objectives of Continuing Professional Development and Faculty Development, Faculty of Health Sciences, are supported through the integration, coordination and implementation of targeted and desirable CPD and Faculty Development (FD) programs of excellent quality. As well as developing, managing, and implementing special projects that support the strategic organizational objectives of the Office of CPD, Faculty of Health Sciences. The Manager works as part of a broader team within the Health Sciences Education portfolio lead by the Vice-Dean, Health Sciences Education. The Manager must ensure the delivery and quality improvement of continuing education programs essential to the achievement of CPD and Faculty of Health Sciences short and long- term strategic goals. Reporting to the Director Lifelong Learning, the Manager, Continuing Professional and Faculty Development plays a significant leadership role in the administration of CPD and its relation to the Faculty of Health Sciences. The Manager, Continuing Professional and Faculty Development interacts with Queen's University faculty and administrative staff, practicing healthcare professionals, hospital directors and administration, national and international societies and associations, national and provincial professional and regulatory colleges, other continuing education departments and providers, and external corporate and commercial contacts.
Prior to May 1, 2022, the University required all students, faculty, staff, and visitors (including contractors) to declare their COVID-19 vaccination status and provide proof that they were fully vaccinated or had an approved accommodation to engage in in-person University activities.
These requirements were suspended effective May 1, 2022, but the University may reinstate them at any point.
