Responsibilities
- Oversee end to end card settlement processes for credit and debit cards, ensuring timely reconciliation, accuracy of transactions, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Lead and supervise the chargeback function, including investigation of disputes, coordination with card schemes and internal stakeholders, and resolution of customer claims within defined service levels
- Monitor settlement reports, identify and resolve discrepancies, optimize processes to reduce operational risk
- Prepare regular performance and risk management reports
- Collaborate with customer service, finance, and IT teams to enhance card operations, improve customer experience, and support new card products and initiatives
Requirements
- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret transaction data, identify trends, and resolve discrepancies in card settlement and chargeback activities
- In depth knowledge of Credit Cards operations, settlement processes, chargebacks, and card scheme rules
- Experience with Debit Cards, including transaction processing, dispute handling, and reconciliation workflows
- Customer Service capabilities to manage card related inquiries and disputes professionally
- Finance knowledge, including banking operations, reconciliation, accounting impacts, and regulatory compliance related to card products
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
- Prior experience in card operations, settlement, or chargeback management within banking or financial services, ideally in an Islamic banking environment
- Proficiency in card management systems, MS Excel, and reporting tools
- Ability to lead a team, coordinate cross functional stakeholders, and work under time sensitive conditions
- Understanding of Shariah compliant banking principles and willingness to adhere to the bank’s ethical and compliance standards

Role Description
- This is a full time, on site role based in Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates, for a Manager Card Settlement and Chargeback.
