Star Academies seeks an MIS and Systems Manager to lead trust-wide MIS configuration, optimization, and standardization across schools. The role involves coordinating system development, supporting data quality, and managing MIS-related projects.

Responsibilities
- Lead trust wide development, optimisation and standardisation of MIS configuration across all schools
- Act as central point of coordination for MIS related requirements, governance, stakeholders, and system development
- Develop, deploy and maintain standardised systems, processes and documentation for data collection and usage
- Provide leadership and support for MIS related projects, including onboarding new schools and system integrations
- Work across schools, Education, Data and IT teams to align MIS with wider organisational priorities
- Provide first point of contact for troubleshooting and escalation to externally commissioned MIS support
Requirements
- Degree level qualification or equivalent relevant experience (e.g., education systems, data systems & IT)
- Significant experience with school MIS and related systems, with expert knowledge of platforms such as Bromcom (or equivalent)
- Demonstrable track record of improving system effectiveness, data quality and operational processes
- Ability to implement trust wide system developments and ensure consistent approaches across multiple schools
- Strong understanding of statutory data processes and the role of MIS in supporting compliance (e.g., census, assessment, exams)
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear guidance for non technical colleagues

You will have
