JOB DUTIES

  • Under direction, performs routine work in the care and maintenance of outdoor areas such as gardens, park grounds, recreational areas, lawns, athletic fields and courts, and indoor/outdoor turf; operates a variety of equipment, tools, and machinery used to care for and maintain grounds; performs other related duties as required.
  • Knowledge of mosquito biology or previous work history related to mosquito control activities are not necessary for this position. Training will be provided by appointing authority.
  • Appointees will be required to obtain valid licensure as a NJ Pesticide Operator and may be required to obtain valid licensure as a NJ Commercial Pesticide Applicator in one or more categories pertinent to the position. The appointing authority is responsible for certification and license verification. The appointing authority will provide appropriate training for pesticide licensing.

LICENSE

Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.

Pay Rate

$19.53 Minimum Hourly Rate - 2025
