Maintenance Technician (Farm Operations)

Ten to fifteen years of experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance/repair preferred

Experience and/or education/training in pneumatic controls, welding, hydraulics, farm equipment is an asset.

Must be eligible to work in Canada for any employer, without restrictions.

Has knowledge of all farm operations, equipment, and maintenance responsibilities

Has low voltage electrical experience and knowledge; completes minor electrical jobs

Performs minor and major repairs on buildings and equipment unsupervised including, but not limited to, welding, replacing, and repairing parts, hydraulics, pneumatics, low voltage electrical, and equipment, buildings and facilities

Trains new maintenance associates on PM’s, repairs, troubleshooting farm equipment and safe operation of equipment.

Completes preventative maintenance duties and completes checklists as assigned

Performs operational checks on boilers as scheduled (L, K only) and cropping room checks after case days (verifies safety of catwalks, front of room, trays, straightens legs, etc.)

Assists in evaluating jobs and determines requirements

May operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems
