What You’ll Do
Effectively organize projects and tasks based on priority to help meet expectations and project deadlines.
Assist in maintaining the grounds, all facilities, and equipment.
Assist in the day-to-day activities of the Business Services & Facilities department in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with company policies and procedures, and current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facilities.
Perform a variety of facility maintenance tasks involving some or all of the following skilled trades: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and preventative maintenance scheduling.
Install, repair, and maintain lavatories, sinks, toilets, urinals, wash basins, drains, gas and electric heaters/water heaters, water filters, water pumps, boilers, HVAC units, water valves, drinking fountains, and other plumbing systems.
Perform electrical repairs such as installing light fixtures, light tubes, outlets, switches, and ballasts.
Perform maintenance on electrical, heating, air conditioning, motorized equipment, generators, and building alarm/building management systems.
Respond to and complete applicable Facilities tickets/requests.
Maintain equipment lists, maintenance schedules, and operations checklists/procedures as directed.
Perform general Facilities maintenance functions as needed.
Travel to offices in Alhambra and Monterey Park.
Perform other job-related duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned by the manager/supervisor.
Qualifications
- Comfortable lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to quickly adapt to various situations.
- Ability to prioritize and effectively multi-task.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Effective and professional communication skills.
- Self-driven, quick learner, and patient; able to work with people of different personalities.
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel between office locations in Alhambra and Monterey Park as needed.
Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
- This position is in-office. The offices are located at 1600 Corporate Center Drive, Monterey Park, CA 91754 and 1668 S. Garfield Avenue, Alhambra, CA 91801. You will need to commute between both offices.
- The total compensation target pay range for this role is $23.00 – $25.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location (current or future), experience, and other job-related factors.
