Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

Berkshire Precision Tool, LLC, a leading supplier of American-made, industrial cutting tools, is seeking a qualified Maintenance Mechanic for our production facility located in Pittsfield, MA.

This person will be responsible primarily performing preventative maintenance and repairs on production machinery, building mechanical systems, building exterior and grounds as required.

The hours for this position are 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Salary Range for this position starts at $25 - $35 per hour based on level of qualifications and experience.

• Technical Knowledge: A thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is critical.
• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: The ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues is a core competency.
• Manual Dexterity: Mechanics must be skilled in using hand, power, and specialized tools.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy is necessary for operating equipment and using maintenance management systems.

• A valid Massachusetts driver’s license and safe driving record are required.
• Will be required to take and pass the requirements for an MA Class 1-D hoist license (Forklift ).
• Must have good mechanical ability and willingness to learn to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair problems as they arise.
• Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating machinery.
• Repair machinery and components using technical manuals and diagnostic equipment.
