High school diploma or GED required.
Basic knowledge of general building, facility, mechanical, or equipment maintenance preferred.
Previous experience performing basic repairs, working with tools, automotive repair, construction, manufacturing, facilities maintenance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
Mechanical aptitude and an interest in learning industrial maintenance are strongly preferred.
Trade school, vocational training, or coursework in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, or a related field is a plus but not required.
Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, or carpentry systems is a plus.
Must be willing and able to learn new maintenance skills through hands-on training and mentorship.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
Ability to bend, twist, turn, carry, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as required.
Ability to safely work from ladders or at heights when properly trained and using required fall-protection equipment.
Ability to safely work around manufacturing machinery and equipment.
Ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals and wear required personal protective equipment.
Extended hours or overtime may occasionally be required during peak workloads, equipment issues, or special projects.
