Lagunitas Brewing Company seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a multi-faceted team in maintaining brewing, utilities, warehouse, and packaging facilities. The role requires 5+ years of maintenance leadership in food/beverage, CMMS experience, and a focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities
- Hire and develop a cross functional maintenance team for a growing brewery
- Orchestrate maintenance team activities for installation, maintenance, and repair of all brewery equipment and physical plant
- Utilize CMMS and Maintenance Planner to execute, review, and optimize maintenance team performance
- Investigate breakdown situations, identify root cause, and resolve to prevent reoccurrence
- Manage spare parts inventory and support staff to minimize cost and maximize runtime
- Coach direct and indirect reports to encourage ownership and engagement
- Assist in execution of capital improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies
- Manage performance and operation of wastewater treatment plant
- Assist in annual budget planning and monitor departmental budget adherence
- Analyze and report performance against departmental KPIs
- Manage external supplier relationships related to maintenance functions
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years in a maintenance leadership role in the food or beverage industry
- Proven leadership in Safety Management, team building, coaching, change management, process management
- Experience with CMMS
- Exposure to CI techniques such as Lean or TPM
- Ability to lift and carry 60 pounds regularly
- Ability to work flexible shifts, overtime, holidays, and weekends
- B.Sc. in Engineering or Industrial Management (preferred)
- Brewing or high speed carbonated beverage packaging experience (preferred)

The Gist
- The Maintenance Supervisor will plan, organize, and lead a multi faceted team in keeping our new, state of the art brewing and utilities and warehouse/distribution and packaging facility at peak operational performance and efficiency.
- This position ensures that employee safety and product quality are top priorities.
What You’ll Do
- Hiring and development of a fully capable, cross functional maintenance for support of a growing brewery
- Orchestrates the activities of the Maintenance team in the installation, maintenance and repair of all brewery equipment, physical plant (steam, electricity, refrigeration, compressed air, water), as well as any other production related machinery and equipment, in a manner that supports a 24/7 opera
- Utilize CMMS and Maintenance Planner to execute, review, and optimize maintenance team performance.
- Investigate breakdown situations fully, identify root cause, and resolve to prevent reoccurrence.
- Manages the brewery’s spare parts inventory and support staff – minimize cost, maximize runtime with right part selection.
- Coaches’ direct reports and indirect reports in a manner that encourages ownership, positive attitude, focused drive and full engagement.
- Assists in the execution of all capital improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies involved in the brewery.
- Manages the performance and operation of the wastewater treatment plant. Including regulatory reporting, throughput, chemical usage, and performance.
- Assists in annual budget planning and monitors adherence to departmental budget.
- Analyzes and reports performance against departmental KPI’s.
- Manages external supplier relationships as related to maintenance functions.
What We’re Lookin’ For
- A minimum of 5 years in a maintenance leadership role in the food or beverage industry.
- Proven leadership in the areas of Safety Management, team building, coaching and motivation, change management, process management, as well as managing vision, impact, and influence
- Experience with CMMS
- Exposure to CI techniques such as Lean or TPM
- Ability to respond confidently and responsibly to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Brewing or high speed carbonated beverage packaging experience.
- B.Sc. in Engineering or Industrial Management.
- Experience with pneumatic systems, industrial electricity, mechanical power, steam generation and distribution, industrial refrigeration and sanitary process piping systems.
- Experience with trouble shooting and programming of automated equipment control platforms (i.e., Allen Bradley, Siemens PCS7, Rockwell Automation).
Physical Stuff
- Must be able to lift and carry 60 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for majority of work schedule.
- Tolerate summer/winter temperature conditions in Production Environment.
- Ability to use computer and maintenance related software.
- May be required to travel up to 25%.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, overtime as necessary, & holidays and weekends.
