Position Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on operational role coordinating and carrying out maintenance activities across BVC Hospitality venues.
The role assesses, prioritises, and resolves day-to-day maintenance issues while helping keep venues safe, operational, and well maintained.
The post includes direct minor repairs, contractor supervision, planned preventative maintenance, and reducing recurring faults.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate venue maintenance activities and act as the main contact for maintenance requests.
- Complete general repairs covering basic plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, decorating, and equipment repairs.
- Monitor maintenance requests, conduct site inspections, and support the Planned Preventative Maintenance programme.
- Coordinate contractors, check completed work and documentation, and maintain asset and compliance records.
- Support inspections, audits, and remedial work relating to fire safety, gas, electrical systems, water hygiene, and other compliance matters.
- Monitor maintenance stock, respond to urgent issues, identify recurring faults, and recommend long-term solutions.
- Support venue openings, refurbishments, maintenance projects, and maintenance operatives or technicians.
- Provide the Facilities Manager with updates on outstanding issues, contractor performance, and maintenance priorities.
Key Requirements
- Proven maintenance, engineering, or facilities experience, ideally in hospitality or a fast-paced multi-site environment.
- Practical knowledge of general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, decorating, and equipment repairs.
- Understanding of safe working practices and general UK health and safety requirements.
- Strong planning, prioritisation, record-keeping, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel between venues and respond to urgent operational requirements.
- Comfort using maintenance reporting systems, email, spreadsheets, and compliance tracking platforms.
