Maintenance Shift Supervisor (4-5-5 Pattern - Day Shift)

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shift maintenance for safe, legal, and quality-compliant production.
• Manage breakdowns, planned maintenance, changeovers, engineering interventions, and cross-shift handovers.
• Drive planned maintenance, statutory checks, corrective actions, and accurate maintenance system records.
• Maintain standards for housekeeping, tool control, line handbacks, spares, and temporary repair follow-up.
• Coach and hold multi-skilled engineers accountable for safe working, technical standards, work order quality, and conduct.

Requirements

• Time-served multi-skilled engineer or equivalent engineering background.
• Practical experience in fast-paced manufacturing, food, or FMCG environments.
• Experience leading, coordinating, or mentoring engineering teams on shift.
• Working knowledge of CMMS, work order management, spares control, and safe systems of work.
• SAP PM experience is desirable.
• Calm, credible leadership and clear decision-making under pressure.
• Direct, supportive, and professional communication skills.

Location and Travel

• The role is based at the Leyland production site with free on-site parking.
• Travel to the Leeds Head Office and other external locations may be required.

Compensation

• The role offers a salary of £57,865.60 dependent on skills and experience.

Shift Pattern

• The title specifies a 4-5-5 pattern and day shift.
